Forgiveness Medicine, 2005

In this painting this woman is praying for the willingness to forgive so that she can move forward in her healing journey.  She gives her pain to Mother Earth and up to the Creator through the smudge so that it will no longer hurt herself and others.  It is said by the Elders that, “forgiveness of others and self takes a warriors strength.”
